- O'Connell was the sniper for the BABC Freshmen squad which took down the 15u AAU National Championship this Summer. He is a 3-point specialist who loves to take the big shot & is capable of catching fire in a hurry. O'Connell will also attack closeouts to get into the mid-range, where he'll look to kick to a teammate or knock down a pull-up jumper. Defensively, he is a smart team-defender who rotates to help and will step in to take a charge. O'Connell also goes to the glass on both ends and will get down on the floor for a loose ball. He should get plenty of good looks at the basket this Winter playing off of Andre Drummond and Jaylen Brantley.
