- Mason really made a name for himself this Summer. First he attended Duke Elite Camp and impressed enough for Coach K to come watch him play for the NE Playaz 17s early in July. Mason then had a breakout performance in the Showcase Game played by the Playaz at the Basketbull HOFNI against Terry Porter Elite. The game was played in front of Arizona Sean Miller and Kentucky's John Calipari to name a few. Mason then headed out West with the Playaz during the second half of Live-July and continued to show that he has real-deal talent.
- Mason is a fluid point-guard with Jason Williams-like body movement. He has that little hop in his step where he explodes from spot to spot on the floor like a bouncy ball. He is a terrific ball-handler and sees the floor very well. Needs to look for his own offense more consistently and that will come as he gets older. As he gets stronger and is able to play more consistently through contact, he could be outstanding.
