July 2011 - Reminds of a Danya Abrams with more athleticism. Georges Niang is an undersized work-horse power-forward who consistently outworks and outplays his opponents...Model of consistency who fills up the stat sheet and serves as a nice compliment down low to Nerlens Noel and vice-versa. Niang absolutely sizzled for BABC during their Peach Jam Chip Run, shooting a ridiculous 75% from the floor for the Event. Iowa St. got a steal. The biggest incoming Cyclone Recruit since Marcus Fizer. (Watch out for Niang's developing perimeter skills.)
September 2011 - The Danya Abrams comparison no longer fits. Along with his rapidly emerging perimeter skills, Niang has thinned out to the point where calling him a developing combo forward seems appropriate. With his new frame, Niang has the potential to be able to shoot the 3-ball like Evan Smotryc at Michigan. Stay tuned.
